Accu Cut

November 21, 2008 by quiltnbee

Ok, The feed back I am getting is that there is interest in using the Accucut. So here is my next question. I have dies that you can cut 36 traditional blocks. I am thinking about purchasing the rag quilt die and maybe the double wedding ring die. Let know what you are interested in you can go to the accucut.com web site and see all of the dies that are available. My thought right now is that it would be wonderful way to use up scraps that you have and the die cutter makes it so much faster to cut everything……………Make a comment or email

Cut a Quilt Top is minutes?

November 16, 2008 by quiltnbee

Can you image being able to cut an entire quilt top in minutes rather than hours or days? Have you noticed the ACCU CUT in the shop? We are thinking about having a class on using the accu cut and then, for a fee, you can use it as much as you want for an entire year. What do you think about that? Let me know. I am in the process of doing the schedule for next year……………

Token Quilt Class

November 16, 2008 by quiltnbee

Judy will be teaching the Token Quilt Class. This is a fun class worked on a very small scale–not minatures but small quilts all of the ones that she has made that are in the shop are less than 12″. It is the perfect place to practice with a new fabric (felted wool) and stitching, embellishments and all kinds of stuff. Similar in nature to postcard but a bit bigger. Great for gift giving or to display………..

Threads of Our Lives Quilt Show

October 13, 2008 by quiltnbee

The Threads of Our Lives Quilt Show was a rousing success. I estimate that we had about 300 folks on the street. Everyone had positive comments and I really want to thank all those that came out and helped make this a great event: Judy Haley, LaDonna Meyer, Chris Montgomery, Carol Bunayrd, Carol Capshaw, Pam Wisners, the wonderful high school students-Amanda, Angie, Jessica, Anthony, Jordan and I am sure that I am missing someone. It was wonderful and you all did a great job. Thanks so much

Spring is Here?

April 6, 2009 by quiltnbee

I am certainly hoping that this is the last cold snap. I was checking out the BLOG and can’t believe that I haven’t posted anything since February. Many of you know that we have a new web page. and that was a lot of works and a bit stressful to change things- at least it is for me. I love the new web site and how easy it is to use and change. I went with Key to the Web. They are fantastic.

The 4H girls completed pillow cases the other day. I have photos of them and I will get them up for all of you to look at. They were being very silly and posing the pillowcases over their heads.
